The ReFab story is simple….and a while in the making. Like many women, I have always read all the style and fashion magazines and I LOVE to shop. I would try to copy the styles I’d see with the budget I had at all the various times in my life. When I would go into some of the designer boutique stores they were so open, stylish. They would have the special little touches like fresh cut flowers or offering you a water or soda. I began learning about the different designers. I came to appreciate the wonderful materials they use along with a fabulous fit of their designs; the special touches. I always wanted to be able to have the high end designer look and fabrics but it wasn’t always in my budget. I always thought to myself, I’m going to open a boutique “one day”!
After being in the restaurant business for what seems like forever, my husband and I sold our business and moved back to Greensboro to be nearer the family. “One day” had finally come, and we started talking about opening my boutique. Knowing we all want to look our best… wear the nicest, best quality, most stylish clothes we can afford; I’ve set out to offer the shopping experience and designer style that we can all enjoy and afford without the attitude or sticker shock that comes all too often from boutique shopping. Recycling is the answer! Think of ReFab Exchange Boutique as THE upscale consignment or resale shop of Greensboro.
The Name? My 10 year old son overheard us discussing my plans one morning; heard me talking about recycling clothes, fabulous fashions and said “Why don’t you call it ReFab?”
Have you ever said “I don’t have a thing to wear” while staring at a full closet. It’s hard to explain, but if you know what I’m talking about then ReFab is for you!
Hope to see you soon,
Jennie
